The CQI-9 is a standard created by the AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) in March 2006 for audits in Heat Treatment processes and is currently in its 3rd. Edition. THE Most automakers consider adherence to the CQI-9 standard mandatory for all parts suppliers that have heat-treated components.
For these companies, the audit based on the CQI-9 standard will be able to identify areas related to heat treatment processes that need improvement, based on best industrial practices. The CQI-9 standard emphasizes system management, defect prevention and reduction of variations and losses in the production chain.

- Target Audience : technicians and engineers or professionals from other areas who are involved in any way with
thermal treatments
- Hours : 12 hours (3 mornings or 3 afternoons)
- Previous knowledge: knowledge of the CQI-9 standard in other editions, even if superficial.

Brief review of all thermal treatments covered by CQI-9
General data on CQI-9 (history, data, etc.)
Pyrometry: Thermocouples, Instrumentation, SAT (System Accuracy Test) and TUS (Temperature Uniformity Assessment)
Critical analysis of all 56 items of the CQI-9
"Work Audit"
Tables: a logical analysis is performed on the 5 divisions included in each table

The 4th. Edition of CQI-9 brought many new features including better clarity of requirements, along with explanations, definitions of terms and examples in the pyrometry section, as well as the addition of a new table.
